What an epic wedding. Vikram and Arya allowed us to capture their massive 4-day wedding so that the newlywed and all of their friends and family would remember the special days that they were a part of.
Vikram proposed to Arya during their romantic dinner in the Singapore Flyer, a giant Ferris wheel with spectacular views of the Singapore city skyline. The engagement already set the bar high for their wedding, and they did not disappoint.
Day 1 of their wedding celebrations consisted of entertaining performances by guests, which is a traditional Indian pre-wedding celebration called Sangeet.
Day 2 was the Mehandi, which is the tradition of the Bride receiving henna tattoos as a way of wishing good luck and prosperity in her marriage.
The actual wedding ceremony was held on day 3 at the Royal Perth Yacht Club in Crawley. This was a traditional Indian wedding, complete with Vikram arriving at the ceremony whilst majestically riding a horse, and the families of the couple exchanged floral garlands, symbolizing their acceptance of each other.
The first reception was held that night, which was a fun party of traditional Indian folk dancing. Whereas the fourth and final night of the wedding celebrations was a Western-style reception, held at Fraser’s restaurant in Kings Park.
